1. Educational & Demonstration Framework
By accessing and interacting with Rooted, you agree to these Terms of Stewardship. Rooted is currently an open demonstration and environmental awareness initiative designed to visualize collective reforestation metrics and encourage grassroots stewardship.
2. Pledge Nature & Demonstration Calculator
Pledges registered through The Million Seed Pledge calculator and the associated digital stewardship credentials (e.g., ROOTED-xxxxx) represent personal, symbolic commitments to conservation. All pledge values and credentials are stored solely within your own browser's local storage (localStorage). Pledges made on this demonstration site represent grassroots individual stewardship milestones (hands-on planting initiatives and localized restoration corridors are organized in direct collaboration with autonomous community propagation labs, municipal parks departments, and bioregional land trusts).
3. Open Environmental Benchmarks
Ecological statistics, carbon absorption estimates, and biodiversity indicators displayed on Rooted are compiled from publicly available conservation research (including the IUCN Red List and Global Forest Watch). We provide these figures strictly for educational, research, and awareness purposes.
4. Community Conduct & Stewardship Ethics
Stewards, contributors, and field volunteers agree to engage with mutual respect and environmental integrity:
- Respect indigenous lands, bioregional boundaries, and local ecological leadership.
- Prioritize native, biologically appropriate species for local biomes over monocultures.
- Share open, documented ecological data when sharing restoration initiatives.
